Implants: Learning from Past Mistakes

I have fortunately/unfortunately been doing implants long enough that I get to see some of my past mistakes from 15+ years ago. I placed these dental implants back in 2008 while I was on Active Duty and they were later restored. Clearly we didn’t appreciate the importance of well contoured abutments and the Nobel Biocare Tri-Lobe was not the best at preserving that crestal bone, so here is the failure after 16 years and a good example of how not to do it…hope this helps.
