Hydraulic Sinus Lift
In this video Dr. Lee explains the benefits of the Hydraulic Sinus Lift using specialized crestal drills with internal irrigation. These drills our now available in our new Hydraulic Sinus Lift Kit. The Hydraulic (Water) Sinus Lift was first described over 15 years ago, and since then many studies have supported the efficacy of the technique. [1] One of the difficulties of the technique, however, has been that the procedure required 2 steps, and was somewhat complex. First, a hole was drilled, and second, a specialized handheld device (usually a set of specialized aqua tips, plus syringe and tubing), was used to evenly distribute hydraulic pressure during sinus membrane elevation. In recent years, though, specialized drills and/or implants have been introduced to simplify the hydraulic sinus lift and enhance the predictability and success of the technique. Common to all the new modifications are unique internal irrigation channels thru the drills which allow the water to be released thru the sides of the drill greatly improving the efficacy of the hydraulic technique.
