Choukroun's Apical Mattress Suture Technique

These are 2 short videos that demonstrate Choukroun's Apical Horizontal Mattress Suture Technique. The technique, which is basically a modification of the regular horizontal mattress, helps remove tension & mobility of the buccal flap. In addition to these benefits, it also helps with: Faster revascularization of the cortical bone, Faster revascularization of the grafted bone, Prevention of the native bone resorption, and Prevention of the bone graft resorption. Our PGCL Sutures are an ideal suture for the technique, because they maintain strength for a sufficient period of time, prevents bacterial wicking, and are fully resorbable.
